    I have an app created that has multiple screens. I have it opening on new and have buttons for the user to select which screen is next.
    After save I need to do an approval process but on edit, it opens back to my selection screen.
    How do I make it open to the current screen with the information that was already added?

    I have been google searching and have not found much information. I am on a deadline of today if you can assist please!

    Good Morning Tangie,

    Is this a PowerApps which you've created by selecting "Customize Forms" in a SharePoint list?  Or is it a PowerApp that you've created a stand alone app with and just added a data connection to your SharePoint source?  The type of app will make a difference in how you accomplish this.  Also, when you say "on edit".  How is the user click to edit?

    Yes I created it using the customize forms in SharePoint. Yes I did update the on edit to show the form. I tried adding the screen and form and still it only shows a blank form instead of the form with the fields that were already populated.

    Ok I've attached some screenshots.  SharePoint Customized PowerApps have a special "SharePointIntegration" tab in the app editor.  If you click that you'll notice several options in the Properties pane dropdown:  OnNew, OnEdit, OnView, OnSave, OnCancel, etc.  If you look at the formulas for each of those you'll see it's setting the Form Mode to New, Edit or View depending on what the user clicks in SharePoint.  So, you need to piggy back off of that.  In the EditForm property, add in a Navigate(Name of your Edit Screen) function right after the EditForm() function.  Do the same thing for the OnNew property and it should work.

    I have tried to reply back online but the site keeps crashing on me.

    Yes the items formula was missing! Thank you. But now I have another issue where my text fields display showing the <div> guidelines before and after my text.

    Also I am trying to set a field based upon an button to set who the current user is. This part is really frustrating!!

    I would think that in whatever system you're getting the data from must have the data in that field formatting as HTML.  Can you check the data source to confirm that there's HTML in the source?

    Regarding setting a field to the current user on submit.  Is there a reason you want to do that on submission instead of just setting that field's Default value to the current user?  The latter is always the easiest way to do it.

    Good morning April.
     I have been on vacation.
    The text fields are coming from sharepoint and set to the rich text edit status for that field.

    As far as setting the button. I would like for it to only be approved by a specific person. I would like to try If(office365users.myprofile() = "user.name" then, true, false)

    currently my button onSelect has Set(varFormStatus, "Approved"); Set(varApprovedDate,Now());
    how can I add to set my Approver Field to the current user if I get the button to only be visible for this particular user?

    Hold on.  What is your app doing?  What is the data source for EditForm3?  That error typically means that it can't find the item that should be displayed in the edit form.  I would look at the Item Property of the form and make sure it's set correctly to a valid value.
