While we had a first PowerApps/Flow UG meeting in Tampa last October, we have had a heck of a time trying to schedule new user group meetings in the local Microsoft Tampa because we cannot find anybody from anyone from Microsoft who is able to host the event. Fortunately, we have been able to make other arrangements thanks to Andy Hafer of Dynamic Communities who was able to secure a location for the April 3rd meeting at Florida Funders which is near the Tampa airport and Westshore mall.
Date and Time:
Wednesday, April 3rd from 6:00PM to 8:00PM
1311 N Westshore Blvd Suite 101A
Tampa, FL 33607
Here is the description for our April meeting.
Building Canvas Apps using Standard Guidelines and Best Practices
While it's relatively easy to get up and running with PowerApps, there's also plenty of ways to get yourself in trouble and to create the canvas-app-from-hell that's impossible to maintain and evolve. In our April meeting, Ted Pattison will discuss using standard naming conventions for screens and controls and adopting best practices that lead to improved performance and maintainability. Along the way, you will learn how to design a canvas app using global variables and collections to implement a shopping cart behavior allowing the user to select a set of products and then submit an order.
- 6:00 to 6:30 - meet and greet
