East Mids Power Apps & Power Automate User Group - April 2020

When:  Apr 2, 2020 from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM (GB)
Hi all,
Covid-19 update - we think that holding this as an in person event isn't good practice at this time, so we are looking to go online with a Teams based meeting. Please show your support for this online by signing up and I'll get a link out to everyone in the next few days.

EDIT: The online event link is here

After moving to new offices in the Nottinghamshire, I've finally got round to getting something in the diary.

We'll follow the usual format of meet around 18:00 at Pure Offices, get started with a PP session at 18:30, break for refreshments at 19:30 and a final PP session kicking off at 19:40. For anyone who wants to continue the conversation, we have a hotel with a bar that is joined to Pure Office where we can lift a "Power Pint".

18:30 Gamification using Power Platform - Alan Richards
Our first session will be Alan Richards who will be talking about how to level up your users with a game that makes them find information in Office 365 and use the Power Platform to run the game. Hear about a project that is going to do exactly this and how all the Power Platform elements fit together.

19:30 - Tea Break!

19:40 - Project Cortex - Simon Denton
It has been a long time coming but Microsoft are finally investing in knowledge. Through Project Cortex, Microsoft are enabling organisations to create opportunities through connected thinking. Cortex connects people to content and content to people. It creates knowledge networks through metadata and the Graph. Mott MacDonald are one of a small number of organisations that have been involved in the development of the product prior to its subsequent Preview and General Availability releases. This has afforded a unique insight into the product and a head start into how it can be used to enhance approaches to knowledge management. This session will give you a quick overview of Project Cortex. After that we’ll dive into the Power Platform element of the project. Project Cortex uses elements from the Power Platform including AI.Builder. I will walk through using AI.Builder to process structured content. You do not need to be part of Project Cortex to use the AI.Builder module.

21:00 - Power Pint!
